About Maeve Siu

Using the newest technologies, Maeve Siu works to transform learning by lifting mathematical thinking, infusing joy, and deepening insight.A National Board Certified Teacher and experienced leader, she has a proven track record of putting theory into practice. With a passion for student and teacher growth, Maeve continuously reflects on the needs of students and schools to enact equitable and effective change.

After 15 years in the classroom, mostly in the the School District of Philadelphia, Maeve decided to spread math love to the world through her original math songs and parodies. Her songs even show off her beat-boxing skills!  Her songs can be found on all major music platforms, with lessons on youtube and fun videos on Tiktok and instagram.

Maeve has appeared on NBC Nightly News Kids Edition.  She earned her AB in Mathematics Summa Cum Laude from Bryn Mawr College ‘08 and her M.Ed. In Curriculum and Classroom Management from Gratz College ‘13.  She is the recipient of the ETS Award for Excellence for having scored in the top 15% of all prior test takers as well as the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching for her work in Philadelphia’s public schools. Most recently, Maeve was the Chief Learning officer for Studdy, AI, where she spearheaded the development of Tutor Mode, an innovative student-led feature that supports individual thinking.
